Thursday night, January 13, found me at the beautiful Egyptian Theater for the 2nd Annual Tasty Awards. This upstart awards ceremony honors food and fashion programs on television, in print, and the web. It's a fun idea but the ceremony is still working out the kinks.

The Tasty Awards didn't get off to the smoothest of starts, which kind of set the mood for the evening. The first presenters were put in the uncomfortable position of delivering the nominees, but didn't have an envelope with a winner (oops).

The likable host Zane Lamprey (Three Sheets, Drinking Made Easy) was a bit cheesy, but had a fun, easygoing manner despite the technical snafus. Along with the red wine, VÄD vodka drinks, and (limited) food, TV personalities like Fabio Viviani from Top Chef season five kept the night bumping.
