The Southern Foodways Alliance hosted their thirteenth annual symposium, "The Global South" recently (from October 22 to 24) in Oxford, Mississippi. Chefs from all traditions poured their interpretations of a "South" without geographic borders into inventive dishes that defied common notions of Southern foodways.
