Last week on the Weekend Cook and Tell we asked all of you to share your best egg recipes for a challenge we dubbed Egg-ventures. Poached runny or fried hard, this challenge made it clear that eggs are a huge part of our day to day cooking routines. Let's take a look at some of your eggs-ellent adventures.
Poached eggs are a longstanding weekend fixture for orchidgirl. She likes to pair them with Mediterranean vegetable mix or spicy Southwestern Hash, and she also adds one on top of a decadent Pulled Pork Sandwich with Asparagus.
A particularly stressful day involving a lost hamster left TheKitchenWitch with nothing planned for dinner. Luckily at the end of the day there were eggs in the fridge to make these Open-Faced Sandwiches with Ricotta, Arugula and Fried Eggs, and TheKitchenWitch's hamster was located safe and sound in the mud room.
Our bread baking pal dbcurrie has been working on this yolk-based Teppanyaki Sauce for over twenty years. Needless to say, after perfecting the recipe last week there was some joyous dancing happening in her kitchen.
