For our Weekend Cook and Tell challenge last week we asked all of you to share some of your tastiest meals eaten in the most unexpected places. Let's take a look at some of our most bizarrely located dining destinations.

Fine French dining and bowling might not seem to be a likely combination but beano found a place where steak frites and strikes go hand in hand, French Embassy Restaurant and Bowling Alley in Arcola, Illinois.

According to jammin83 there is a liquor store in Easton, Maryland, that makes the most wonderful freshly baked cookies. These cookies are so delicious that jammin83's seven-year old cousin has come to call them "liquor store cookies."

oregonpinot has a sister who manages a strip club, according to this sister the club also boasts a great steakhouse but oregonpinot has yet to investigate.

Navigating the Isle of Skye proved tricky for bareneed and family. Thankfully they came upon a petrol station with a tiny tea room serving freshly caught salmon.

Eating at a restaurant adjoining a Days Inn might seem like a last resort for some but according to Kitchenista the Sutton County Steakhouse in Sonora, Texas served up some of the best steaks in the state.

On a similar note Gipsygrrl found a wonderful Thai place right next to a Super 8 Motel in Reno, Nevada.

Landlocked Boise, Idaho, doesn't seem like a seafood mecca but kalajo claims that The Crow's Nest has incredible steamed clams.

Finally Lorenzo chimed in with his opinion that all of these "unlikely meals" just go to show how the quality of food in other countries is generally superior to what is available here. Case in point, the Autostrada panino that every American raves about.

Thanks to everyone who shared their fond eating and vacationing memories for this week's Weekend Cook and Tell challenge. Be sure to head over to Talk and read about next week's challenge: Spring Greening.
