Last week's Weekend Cook and Tell challenge was to make something delicious with the help of a kitchen gadget or appliance. Here are some of our favorite responses, cooked with love and a little bit of technology.

dbcurrie used not one but three gadgets and appliances to assist last week's cooking projects. A plantain press to make the Twice Fried Plantains pictured above, a crock pot slowly simmered Chili for a cook-off, and a Kitchen Aid Mixer kneaded the dough for this crazy Salad Stuffed Cracker Bread.

A bread maker was the key to a perfect crust for Amandarama's White Pan Pizza With Creamy Garlic Sauce, Chicken, and Bacon.

TheKitchenWitch loves her immersion blender so much she could kiss it! Take a look at this blended Tomato and Roasted Red Pepper Soup and you'll see why.

Not all helpful appliances have to be plugged in. lemonfair's go-to gadget is a simple handheld food mill, she uses it for making tomato purées, jams, and jellies like this Skin-On Apple Jelly.

ec_washington used an electric wok and a bamboo steamer to make this steamed and then fried sticky sweet and delicious Korean Fried Chicken, or KFC for short.

The ice cream-making Kitchen Aid attachment was the inspiration for salpico's Banana Rum Ice Cream made with extra sweet baby bananas.

TSDGuy used an egg poker to make up a batch of perfect deviled eggs.

In search of the perfect french fries dmcavanaghwent out and bought a deep fryer and a three-gallon jug of oil to make Cook's Illustrated's Cold Start French Fries.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to share their recipes for this week's Weekend Cook and Tell challenge. Be sure to head over to Talk and read about next week's challenge: Temporarily Vegan.
