Want to Know Where Your Milk Comes From? Whereismymilkfrom.com Tells You

No, it doesn't simply tell you it comes from cows. Or goats or sheep. Simply plug in the numeric code found on the milk container and Where Is My Milk From? names and maps the dairy it came from. Also works with yogurt, chocolate milk, soy and organic milk, coffee creamer, cottage cheese, and ice cream. Only works for U.S. dairy products, though. [via The Presurfer]

neat! want to go home right now to try :-P
I was happy to discover that regular Target brand milk is from hormone-free cows but it would be nice to know where it's from.

Interesting, but it doesn't really tell you the dairy, just the bottling plant. The actual milk in the bottle is generally a blend from numerous different sources.

Nice to know that the milk and cottage cheese in my fridge came from a plant less than 45 miles away in each case.
