If you are smitten with sardines but don't want to be that person stinking up the office with your little fishies for lunch, ever consider having them for breakfast? As the Internet Food Association points out: "they are ridiculously good for you (omega-threes!), cheap, and sustainable. Plus, they're probably the only fish that will be left to eat in twenty years, so we may as well get used to them now."

Searching for sardine-containing breakfast recipes wasn't very successful, so they created their own spin with some quinoa made the night before zapped in the microwave with tomatoes and diced chiles. So, the results weren't spectacular but it was a meal eaten before lunch that contained sardines, so mission partly accomplished. Got any other ideas for sardine breakfasts? An omelet? Is oatmeal pushing it?
