Weekend Cook and Tell Round Up: Make it Cheesy
Homemade paneer. [Photograph: chitra]
Last week's Weekend Cook and Tell was one of our stinkiest and tastiest yet. The challenge was to Make it Cheesy by cooking something that incorporated some sort of cheese. The recipes and cooking projects submitted were a virtual melting pot (pardon the pun) of cheesy deliciousness. Let's take a look at some of our responses.
Chocolatesa's love for cheese is a bit unorthodox but delicious nonetheless. Noodles with cheese were the inspiration for this ramen with cheddar.
katieelby didn't have the patience to let her cheesecake cool, but a few surface cracks didn't take away from the cream cheesy goodness.
chitra took this challenge to the next level by making her own paneer, a fresh Indian cheese.
somaR also used paneer to stuff these paneer kofta with nuts and raisins.
Cheese is a staple in dhorst's kitchen. Her teenaged son has earned the nickname Cheesebag with his predilection for gooey breakfast burritos and quesadillas.
dbcurrie baked up some cheesy breadsticks for this week's challenge along with a 1950s inspired tuna noodle casserole topped with Xolby.

knowwhey captured the curds with a Vermont-inspired Tarte Flambée topped with gruyere, bacon, caramelized onions, and crème fraiche.
Katerina was thrilled to accept our cheesy challenge. Her contribution was a pasta with brie, chicken, and arugula.
kirbie baked up a loaf of rosemary bread with beer and cheese that was simple to put together and perfectly savory.
Using farmers' market goat cheese as a jumping off point newRDcook put together a caramelized onion, mushroom, and goat cheese tart that can work for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Thanks to everyone who made a pilgrimage to the cheese counter for this week's Weekend Cook and Tell challenge. Be sure to head over to Talk and read about next week's challenge: School Lunches Reimagined .
