Cook the Book: 'Rose's Heavenly Cakes'

20100315rosesheavenlycakes.jpgRose Levy Beranbaum made a name for herself in the world of desserts back in 1988 with her comprehensive cake baking companion, The Cake Bible. It was a combination of hard science and pastry arts that broke down the process of baking picture-perfect cakes at home for aspiring bakers.

Since then, Levy Beranbaum has been teaching the world about the joys of baking with her unique and meticulous books, most recently Rose's Heavenly Cakes.

Thumbing through Rose's Heavenly Cakes is like walking into the bakery of your dreams, every page you turn reveals a cake more delicious than the last. For the next few weeks we are going to be featuring a cake from Rose's Heavenly Cakes to help sweeten up your Monday beginning with one of Levy Beranbaum's favorites, Torta de las Tres Leches.
