Decrease in Potato Demand Due to Americans Eating Fewer Fries

20100316-fries.jpgPotato demand in North America is down due to a nosedive in Americans' consumption of french fries, reports the Toronto Star. Besides that people are eating out less, more choices in fast food restaurants means people are buying less fries. French fry consumption is on the rise in other parts of the world, such as Canada and different countries in Asia.
