With all the channels on broadcast TV and cable--and the inevitable episode repeats—it's hard to sort out what's new or worthwhile. Let us sort it out for you so you don't miss anything worth watching. Times may vary with region (especially PBS shows); check your local listings for exact hour and channels.

Monday (January 11)

Good Eats: "Zen and the Art of Omelet Maintenance." Alton Brown delves into the king of egg applications, making various omelets and frittatas. 8 p.m. ET, Food Network

Cake Boss: "Apples, Arguments & Animal Prints." Buddy creates an apple tree cake for a local orchard; Mary threatens to buy her 40th birthday cake from a rival baker. 9 p.m. ET, TLC

Diners, Drive-ins and Dives: "Pizza, Pork and Paprikash." Guy visits a San Francisco diner known for smoked pork, eats pizza sandwiches in Western New York, and digs into chicken Paprikash in Cleveland. 10 p.m. ET, Food Network

Chef Academy: "Too Many Cooks." In the two-part finale, Chef Novelli's students prepare a gala dinner for local chefs and VIPs as their "final exam." Read more about the show here. 10 p.m. ET (2 hours), Bravo

Wednesday (January 13)

The Martha Stewart Show: "Winter Recipes and Wellness Tips." Martha discusses organic, local, and seasonal produce; Dr. Jana Klauer ("The Park Avenue Nutritionist's Plan") is a guest. Check local listings

Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares: "J Willy's." Gordon comes to the rescue at J Willy's Bar & Grille in South Bend, IN, where the owners are $1.2 million in debt. 8 p.m. ET, BBC America

BBQ Pitmasters: "American Royal International Barbecue." At the American Royal Invitational in Kansas City, Missouri, Myron faces his biggest rival on the barbecue circuit. 10 p.m. ET, TLC

Ace of Cakes: "Man Caves." Tony Siragusa, Jason Cameron and the crew of DIY's Man Caves arrive at the bakery to create a guy-themed basement for Duff. 10 p.m. ET, Food Network
