Now that Thanksgiving is behind us and the leftovers have been creatively dealt with or discarded, let's talk about our Thanksgiving meals objectively. Last week for our Weekend Cook and Tell challenge we asked all of you to share your Thanksgiving successes and do-overs for next year. Here are some of our favorite stories:

Trilby's Thanksgiving for three didn't warrant an entire turkey, so J. Kenji Lopez-Alt's Turkey Stuffed Turkey was the perfect solution. The bird-within-a-bird was a success and the carcass was simmered for perfect gravy.

kirbie has never been one to shy away from a cooking challenge. She was put in charge of desserts for her family's Thanksgiving meal and made no fewer than seven wonderful meal-enders.

Tasty Morsel hosted a meal that sounded absolutely amazing: two legs of lamb, a turkey, roasted vegetables, and a butternut squash couscous. The only dish that wasn't up to par? Cranberry jelly. But fear not, the jelly was magically transformed into sorbet by a pass through the ice cream maker.

Unsuspecting Thanksgiving guests gave joyyy an opportunity to try her hands at pastry. Happily her pie crusts and pâte brisée were so good that no one knew the difference.

CatBoy wowed everyone last week with his recipe for bread pudding baked in a pumpkin shell and week his recipes were no less impressive. Mincemeat pie made with coconut oil instead of suet, a pecan pie using treacle, and a recipe for NPR's Favorite Cranberry Relish.

An allergy to potato peels didn't stop ec_washington from making a fantastic Thanksgiving meal. Check out the spread over at Dreaming of Pots and Pans.

therealchiffonade hosted a dinner for nine, and the menu included a brined bird, sweet potato crisp, sauteed green bean, bread stuffing and corn pudding. Dessert was Dorie Greenspan's Twofer Pie and Rose Levy Beranbaum's cheddar pie crust cut into cookies for her daughter. therealchiffonade shared the Thanksgiving spirit by donating a roast turkey and apple crisp to a nearby women's shelter.

My Thanksgiving table was filled with dishes that we have featured for Cook the Book over the past few weeks: Alton Brown's turkey, Mark Peel's mashed potatoes, and Matt and Ted Lee's collard greens with chorizo.

Thanks to everyone who shared their Thanksgiving meals with us. We can't wait to hear about all the other holiday cooking adventures this month. Be sure to head over to Talk and read about next week's challenge: Homemade Holidays.
