Last week's Weekend Cook and Tell challenge was all about TV Dinners—not the microwavable ones, but the dinners that you eat in front of the tube. Here are some of our favorite prime time responses:

During a Battlestar Galactica marathon avaryne chowed down on bowls of udon with pork and bok choy in place of the more Battlestar appropriate algae mush.

For the premier of The Tudors ChefToddMohr put together a Henry VIII inspired dinner of roast lamb, potatoes, and whole baked vegetables.

Wary of balancing plates on her knees, Cassaendra uses Japanese bowls filled with kitsune udon for her TV dinners.

chisai hosts regular dinner-and-a-movie nights for friends. Some past menus include lasagna, cannoli, and Sambuca for The Godfather, and turkey legs, beer, bread and cheese and pasties for The Adventures of Robin Hood with Errol Flynn, with no silverware!

donnie's kitchen has turned into her living room thanks to a new television installed on an antique baking rack courtesy of her husband.

Snow kept tatianak parked in front of the TV all weekend, but it looks like she ate pretty well regardless. Take a look at these Perfect Fall Potatoes over at My Cold Prairie.

Sunday's episode of Mad Men tied in perfectly withElizabethS's Roman pizza dinner, which brought back fond memories of a trip to Italy.

Mad Men has also been an inspiration for MMinNYC, who made a 1960s meal of Julia Child recipes including onion soup, boeuf bourguignon, pommes dauphinoise, tomatoes Provençal, epinards à la crème, and Julia's cream puffs and chocolate sponge cake for dessert.

kirbie likes to satisfy her cravings for greasy fast food while watching TV. Fried chicken is a particular favorite.

We are big TV dinner eaters at my house. Unfortunately the salmon hot pot that I made last night was met with this comment: "Why do we always watch Dexter while we eat?"

Thanks to everyone who took the time to participate in this week's Weekend Cook and Tell challenge. It was great to hear about what all of you are eating for at home, on the couch or at the table. Be sure to head over to Talk and read about next week's challenge: Spaghetti, Meatballs, and Wine

I totally meant to participate in this challenge and post something about it, but life got in the way. This past weekend we ate grits that were spiked with habanero cheddar and jalapeno sausage while we were watching Top Gear. They seemed to work pretty well together!
