Last week's Weekend Cook and Tell was all about Restaurant Recreations. We asked you to take dishes from your favorite restaurants and try your hand at making them in your own kitchen. Here are some of our favorite responses, sans the white tablecloth.
MadelynRodriguez had a particularly memorable meal at Mark's at the MeliĆ” in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. Over the weekend she recreated this Blue Cheese and Walnut Pasta to share with her sister.
It took two attempts for alliect to perfect Scarpetta's Tomato-Basil Spaghetti but the second batch was "faaaaabulous."
The tapas bar Lola in Phoenix, Arizona, inspired meleyna's Chickpeas with Spinach. It's a tasty dish with or without the sangria, according to meleyna.
While dining in D.C. orchidgirl enjoyed the popular Puerto Rican dish known as canoas or canoes. She made these Double Baked Sweet Potatoes with Sausage and Cheese at home and was quite pleased with the results.
LearP wanted to know if Cinnabon counted for this challenge and the answer is YES! If you didn't have a chance to make them over the weekend, here's a recipe that's supposed to be close to the real deal.
Thanks to everyone who took the time to participate in this week's Weekend Cook and Tell challenge. It was great to hear about what all of you are eating for at home, on the couch or at the table. Be sure to head over to Talk and read about next week's challenge: More Than Just Beer Nuts.

Went to Nola during Quarter Fest and had Mrs. Hay's Stuffed Chicken Wings. Back to the City and had to have 'em Imposing recipe. If you break the process down and do it in steps, it is a winner. Hint Get a real butcher to get you roaster wings for stuffing. Rest of the stuff you can get in any good Oriental market including ground pork which is mixed with ground shrimp for stuffing into boned wings. We met Mrs. Hays and yes she is Asian.
