Costco Will Accept Food Stamps Nationwide
According to City Room: "Company executives hope to have food stamp acceptance in place in half the company's 407 warehouse-style stores by Thanksgiving...While the company had once protested that it was difficult to configure its computer systems to accept food stamps—given that Costco sells many other products besides food—Costco has now embraced the idea."

It is not difficult to accept EBT cards. Most major grocery chains do, and so do mom-and-pop corner stores. Now WIC, that might be a little trickier.

don't you have to pay a fee to join costco? how do people on food stamps do that? I don't live in the states so I don't really know how it works...

I am waiting to see how many pony up the membership fee. My guess is not many. Not in my area at least.

My guess would be that their target is current members who've hit hard times and just started receiving food stamps.
