More than just beer nuts.

For last week's Weekend Cook and Tell, we asked you to share all of your favorite beer-friendly recipes. No matter whether they were made with beer or made to be eaten alongside a cold one, here are some of our favorite responses:

katieelby was well aware that this challenge was supposed to go beyond beer nuts, but she couldn't resist sharing this recipe for Sweet and Spicy Walnuts.

No stranger to cooking with beer, Otabenga made a version of choucroute using beer instead of the more traditional white wine. In honor of fall, he recently made this Three Sisters Stew: a combination of beans, squash, and corn (finished with beer, of course).

Both mr guy and his girlfriend are fans of Belgian ales. They've made a few attempts at home brewing, some more successful than others. The brewing operations have been moved to the basement for safety reasons, but they've had some success making brews with notes of honey and banana.

Judith klinger added beer to her bread dough for an extra crisp crust. Take a look at her recipe over at Aroma Cucina.

hmw0029 made Beef and Dark Beer Chili, substituting pale ale for the stout called for in the recipe. The results? Still pretty tasty.

orchidgirl isn't a big fan of football, or beer for that matter, but she thinks these Mini Nachos would pair well with both.

dhorst chimed in with her version of beer can chicken. First instruction: Open can, hand to husband to drink 1/3 of beer, snatch it back before he has more than he's supposed to.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to participate in this week's Weekend Cook and Tell challenge. We hope you enjoyed the challenge and a few cold beers in the process. Be sure to head over to Talk and read about next week's challenge: Pumpkinsplosion.
