Comment Notification is Back!

Comment notification is back! Now, every time you leave a comment on a blog post, talk topic, or Photograzing submission, you'll receive an email notifying you of any new comments on that thread. If you'd like to turn of comment notification for any reason, follow the link in the top right login box to "edit my account." From the edit your account page, scroll down to the "comment response notification" section and select "no" and save changes. More detailed instructions are available here.

Thanks for teh heads up, AB

Does this mean that the "Response to Comments" tab in my profile will work again as well?

@SqueezeBottle: I hadn't seen this bug reported previously, will get fixed asap!

@squeeze: i was having that problem, but the gang fixed it and let me know a couple of days ago

My only concern with this is when we have the Cook the Book or other contest posts. Those always have lots of comments and if you're the first person to post to a contest you're in for a deluge in your Inbox! I do realize this may be tricky but I do wish you could just turn it off for those posts only.

@squeeze: I take that back! I was not able to even get to the comments page in my profile for a while, but now I can. But I do not have anything in the "response to" portion, just my comments. Oops

@Alaina Browne - Thanks for getting on that. I use that feature very often, but was waiting to report the bug since I reckoned you must have a lot on your plate right now.

@Squeeze, I sent in a report of that bug on October 2nd, didn't hear anything back yet. If you scroll down a little to 'see more comments by' and click that, it'll bring up the response to comments section, but none are listed. Guess my report got lost in the shuffle.

Sorry to doublepost.. But..

@arm1970, YES!! I hate entering contests simply because it fills the 'response to comments' section with a bunch of entries.

@SqueezeBottle: "Response to comments" should be working on your profile page now!
