For last week's Weekend Cook and Tell, we wanted to take a peek inside your lunch box. Here are some of our favorite responses:

Overcome with the spirit of generosity and an insatiable craving for Greek food, LanaRae made spanakopita turkey meatballs and homemade gyros to share with her friends and coworkers.

kirbie had originally planned to make adorable heart-and-star-shaped eggs for her lunch bento but the egg sculpting didn't work out as planned. She ended with some home-cooked leftovers courtesy of her mom.

As a proud new bento box owner, lemonfair went the Japanese route by making a rice Totoro served with teriyaki sauced vegetables, corn, melon, kiwi, and grapes.

Lorenzo transformed steak tartare leftovers into meatballs for lunch the next day.

Exemplary boyfriend maxcriden makes daily bento lunches for his girlfriend. Check them out over at Beach City Cooking. (Apparently her coworkers are quite jealous.)

erikasimi looks forward to making lunch, and wouldn't you if it involved Italian sausage and mushroom ragu over spaghetti squash and basil pesto?

chisai is serious about lunch. Here is a sampling of last week's menu: artichoke tapenade, ziti with tomato butter sauce and lots of Parmesan, romaine salad with Kalamata olives and oven dried tomatoes, a steak sandwich with boursin cheese, shaved pistachios, arugula, super thinly sliced tomato and a black bean and corn salad.

arm1970 has one lucky husband. Everyday he gets a lovingly prepared bento, usually filled with last night's leftovers plus some fresh fruits and vegetables. To quote arm1970, "He loves them and I love making them for him!" Aww.

Working from home has its advantages: dbcurrie's fridge is one giant lunch box!

Thanks to everyone who took the time to participate in this week's Weekend Cook and Tell challenge. It was great to hear about what all of you are eating for lunch. Be sure to head over to Talk and read about next week's challenge: pancakes.

Caroline: Thanks for the link to Ana's rice Totoro. Maybe my second Totoro won't look so much like cookie monster!

@lemonfair your Totoro looks like Totoro :-)
and this is coming from a Japanese girl!
