Video: A Cheese Platter, as Assembled by The Office's Andy Bernard

20090929-office-cheese-platter.jpg

I just caught up with my Office-watching after a long weekend in Dallas. If you haven't seen last Thursday's episode, here's a clip to whet your appetite (and it won't really give that much away). In it, Michael tries to eavesdrop on a meeting between Jim and Dunder-Mifflin CFO David Wallace by having Andy sneak him into the conference room in a tablecloth-bedecked cart bearing a cheese platter. The real gold is in listening to Andy try to wax elegant about the processed cheesefood on offer (American cheese singles, Parmesan shakey cheese, and blue cheese dressing). Catch the vid after the jump.

'The Office' Cheese Platter

From the Wisconsin region, a nice firm cheddar. Also from the great state of Wisconsin, an aged Parmesan. Uh, here you will find a cheddar-style spread, which has reacted nicely with the air to form a light rind, which I think you'll find both challenging and delicious. At that point, I would recommend you take a quick trip south of the border to the great state of Illinois, where you will find this fine blue cheese dressing. If I may be so bold, it's a lot of fun to let the goldfish take a little swim in the blue cheese. Bon appétit"

The funny thing was that I was enjoying my own cheese plate as I watched--some Brillat-Savarin, a bit of Cotswold, and some Rogue Creamery Smokey Blue. No Goldfish, though, sadly.

OMG! I love the office...and cheese. Thank you so much for this post :)

Beer me five!

I heart the Office and I heart cheese too!
[OMG joy we twinz] lol

probably my two favourite things in life :) HANDS DOWN (plus pulled pork)
**ps: anyone have a non-hulo hosted link? we cannot access as northerners :p

That was hilarious. I started laughing before Andy even started describing the cheese. Just looking at the infamous green can of "parmesean" on a cheese platter was brilliant.

I rewound and watched this scene over as I watched it the other night. Just a great bit.

haha Andy Bernard is slowly taking over as my favorite character from the Office - move over Dwight! (but leave your beets! :P)

@hungrychristel

You can stream all the episodes from free from the NBS website. www.nbc.com. All you have to do is sit through a couple 30 second commercials.

I cannot tell you how excited I was to have my home state "featured" on The Office! And I have to agree with @violetcassis - Andy Bernard is quickly rising to the top of a great cast of characters!

@Kenji - thanks :)
