Noodles are a beautiful thing—watching them being made, even more so. This photo from Rodzillaaaaa on Flickr captures the art of whipping hand-pull noodles in mid-flight.

I'm just fascinated by this. I've seen it done a few times on "No Reservations" and another show I can't remember the name of, but the host had a week or so to learn how to do it. It seems beautiful and magical how a lump of dough becomes gorgeous strings without a machine.

This just reminded me that I haven't had those things in a while. I'll have to remedy that.

Does anyone remember Gak? I used to play with Gak and pretend I was making noodles. So fun.

This looks like something out of the matrix. Pretty cool!

I got to pull some noodles with our local La Mian noodle house here in Singapore's Chinatown - http://accidentalepicurean.com/2009/03/lan-zhou-la-mian-for-dumplings-and-noodles/
