An obvious dessert for a weekend of grilling are s'mores. but when the weather's hot, you're going to want a cool treat.

And thus the Ice Cream Smore'wich was born! Miss Ginsu shows you how to make it by sharing two recipes: an easy one that uses pre-made graham crackers, chocolate fudge sauce, vanilla ice cream, and marshmallows; and, for the more culinarily skilled, a more time-consuming one involving homemade graham crackers, fudge sauce, and toasted marshmallow swirl ice cream.

i just popped a serious food boner from this one!

Frozen smores are another alternative. They are awesome, easy to make, and much less messy than the traditional smore. The non-campfire version as follows:

Take one graham cracker square (1/2 of a whole rectangular cracker) and put it on a microwave-safe plate. Place two squares of Hershey's milk chocolate on the cracker. Place one jumbo air-puffed marshmallow on top of the chocolate. Microwave for 20 seconds on high. (Chocolate will get melty, marshmallow will get enormous.) Immediately place another graham cracker square on top and gently press. If you can resist eating, put it (on its plate) in the freezer and freeze for at least an hour. Chilly deliciousness for around 75 calories. Yummm!

Oh my goodness. That's all I got.

They are crazy-wonderful tasty, but recipe testing on this gave me a serious sugar crash.

Thanks for the call-out Serious Eats gang!

@missginsu: But isn't food coma fun after a fun day of Labor day eating? There's nothing to stay up for like fireworks on the Fourth or something like that.
