Video: Frank Bruni Reviews the Choco Taco
One major plus about Frank Bruni stepping down from his New York Times Dining critic position is he has more time to mull over pressing issues like the merits of a Choco Taco. (And we can even see his face while he does so!) When Bruni appeared on Nightline this week, he moseyed over to an ice cream truck to review everyone's favorite rhyming dessert taco. i hate watching people bite, chew, and/or eat.

I had the same high hopes when I tried the Choco Taco earlier this summer, followed by the same crushing disappointment. I feel his pain.

I think I had my first chaco taco when I was six. I remember liking it.
Glad to see the Bruni occasionally slums with a quarter pounder with cheese.

I didn't realize Klondike made the Choco Taco and Mister Softee sold them. I thought it was a Taco Bell thing.
When they swapped food, all I could imagine was what the reporter was thinking --if he should eat off the same side that Frank Bruni bit off? He did. I guess I do that all the time, but I'm usually drunk.

i really wanted to like these, but they have that "bendy waffle cone" thing going on which is a total bummer. maybe this freshly made - with a warm waffle cone bent into taco shape, some fresh hot fudge, etc. we could have something going on. choco tacos as they currently stand are lame! much better off with a king cone...

Yeah, the waffle cone "taco shell" isn't so good.
Bruni was dead on with the making junk food worth it thing. How disappointing when you realize you sacrificed multiple hours at the gym for a Whopper only to get something mushy and disgusting, when you should have just eaten the Luna bar that's been smooshed at the bottom of your purse for two weeks. Fail.
