Potato Crisps from Luxirare

[Luxirare]
The problem with opening up food and fashion website Luxirare (the blog that brought you Pie Lollipops) is that one could easily spend days on end entranced by its incredible photo spreads. In this post on potato chips, we see the making of these stunning snacks in dozens of images—from paper-thin potato sheets to the red pepper, cilantro, and vanilla chips seen above. It's often said that food is a form of art; looking at these photos, it's clear that making it can be, too.

These chips gave rise to an exuberant bout of reverie from me. I agree; Luxirare has the most stunning photography, and her daring in the kitchen is really inspiring.

hey just a heads up - the link in the first sentence ("The problem with opening up food and fashion website Luxirare...") is misspelled and takes you to luxiare.com and not luxirare.com

I wish I could justify spending the ~ $300 on that veg sheeter. Those things are absolutely amazing. My first introduction to them was sitting at a sushi bar, watching the chefs sheet entire daikon radishes in about thirty seconds. I hope Santa is reading this.

The technique for these chips was originally develloped by Ferran Adria in 2000 at elBulli. the sandwiching thing is something Thomas Keller does at the French Laundry. This is a combination of the two ideas.
