Awesome!
This is excellent ammo for the girlfriend when she frowns at my cheese burger while she orders another cappachinno!

Am I wrong in thinking that an Americano is just espresso with hot water? Why is the caffeine content so much higher then espresso?

It's a large cafe Americano which is probably a double shot. But that doesn't make sense either because a double espresso is way further down on the spectrum...

Maybe they got the name wrong and it's actually a red-eye? I know people that get that confused with a cafe Americano (don't know how...)

I wondered the same thing about the Americano!

This chart makes me glad I drink just plain ol' delicious black coffee. :)

I make myself a mug-full of French Pressed coffee every morning before I get into work. I drink it black....delicious!

Its easy, quick and much better for you. Try it.

Yeah, I'm confused by that too. I usually do a french press in the morning, but my cafe orders vary from the Starsux iced mocha (espresso, choc. syrup, skim milk, ice=calories really only from the chocolate), americano (espresso/water, + sugar), or a few cubano shots on ice. I was always of the understanding that the majority of calories in "coffee drinks" come from the sugar/syrups/cream/whip ...

I was hoping this chart told me how much caffeine I need to ingest to simulate the effects of 30 minutes of vigorous activity but upon closer inspection I misunderstood the blurb. Darn!

I'm not sure why a small latte versus an iced latte has such varying caffeine content, though the calories are about the same.

looks fun and interesting but this isn't suppose to be accurate right? i can't imagine how an espresso, a small latte and a small americano have different amounts of caffeine since they would all have one shot of espresso. also, a small iced coffee has the same calories as a large iced coffee.

Anyone know how a thai iced tea or coffee ranks on this chart?
