Watch It with Us: ‘Top Chef Masters,’ Episode 4

Top Chef Masters returns tonight! Just like we did with the Next Food Network Star earlier this week, we’re inviting you to tune in with us tonight, at 10 p.m. ET, and join our real-time, open thread discussion. Tonight's episode, "Magic Chefs," features Anita Lo, Douglas Rodriguez, John Besh, and Mark Peel. Who do you think has the upper hand?

Here we go! I'm kind of pulling for Anita Lo, if only because I feel so badly about the fire at Annisa.

Oh man, "My dad only had one arm?" What a perfect backstory...

I always get a little scared when I hear someone vowing to "hit one out of the park." Especially when it involves liquid nitrogen.

"Horseradish sorbet, done tableside"? Eeek!

Did he really just say Sterno? LN2? Where's my idiosyncratic high school chem teacher? Or my fearful tuxedoed college chem prof?

Wow, Anita's dish might be the most artistic creation I've ever seen on this show...

Magician guy's hair: nice presentation, could use a bit of citrus to cut through the heaviness of the gel.

I'm a little concerned about the proximity of Kelly's enormous hair to that flaming dish...

did that rabbit thing just happen or was it an illusion? (hope there was no hair in the hare...)

These chefs are so dignified! No squabbling, no talking back, no one-upping or undermining...

Poor John. So ambitious, so disappointed...

Yay Anita! HELL-O- east coast ALWAYS rocks... =P Love the positive energy...

I always read the recap the next day but now I have no idea what happened on last night's episode.

:-(

Bring back the recaps!

This is such an awesome show. I love the camaraderie between respected chefs. Since they are all established already, it's less about backstabbing and sabotaging the competition and more about cooking for cooking's sake - no matter who wins, someone will be helped and some cause will be supported.
:)
