Video: How Hard Is It to Milk a Camel?

20090722-video-camels.jpg

Camel's milk is nearly impossible to get in the US, but in the Middle East and other parts of the world, camel's milk is also known as "liquid gold." Wall Street Journal talks to natural medicine practitioner Millie Hinkle about her efforts to bring camel's milk to the US so she can give it to her patients. So how do you milk a camel? Rare and exotic animal breeder Larry Seibel gives it a try. "Forget everything you know about cows; it's much different," he says. Watch the video after the jump.

wow, how disgusting.

How is this disgusting? Do you honestly believe that cows always were black and white spotted with very large utters? They weren't - humans have been using husbandry for thousands of years to create a cow line that looks like it does today. You can Google it or go to this website if you don't believe me: http://niazi.com/Milk/holyco.htm
Same thing with turkeys. Have you ever seen a wild turkey? It doesn't look anything like our domestic ones. Before you start shunning animals that wouldn't normally produce milk on a large scale, keep in mind cows didn't either once upon a time.

The thing is, I don't trust any deep delicacies from the Middle East. Secondly why would I care if a cow didn't have spots or a large udder? I will eat a longhorn any day.

Love,

The Occidental
