4th of July: What's on Your Menu?

This July 4th the weather forecast is predicting sunny skies all day in my area, so you'll find me basking in the warmth and chowing down on some summer classics. Here's my proposal for a good times menu complete with ribs and rosé! What's on your July 4th menu?
- Pineapple-Braised Ribs with Honey-Garlic Tomato Glaze: "Succulent, retaining their smokiness while adding a layer of depth with the sweetness from the pineapple braise." The only problem when contributor Josh Bousel made them was that they were gone too fast! As long as I get my six rib share, I'll be happy.
- Fresh Corn Salad: Corn salad is my favorite side dish when eating outdoors and it makes for a great alternative to the ubiquitous spud.
- Ed's Favorite Potato Salad: For those on the potato side of things, here's Ed's favorite!
- Marinated Vegetable Sandwich: These are a lighter alternative in case your family likes to get its badminton on during its cookouts. Sadly, you can't bring your A-game when you're loaded down with six ribs in your belly.
- Toasted Almond Lemon Bars: Adding toasted almonds to the shortbread crust elevates the lemon bars into something special. Honestly, since when has adding toasted almonds ever been a bad idea?
- Rosé Sangria: Sangria's easy to put together and a definite crowd pleaser. I would definitely try adding a sparkling rosé though in order to fulfill the three requirements of my perfect drink: pink, sparkly, and fresh!

grilled cheese and tomato soup.. maybe a big mug of hot chocolate... Seriously it feels like it's April up here in New England this summer.

I keep one of my charcoal grills over at my Mom's house. On the 4th, I'm grilling us a couple of strip steaks, a few ears of corn and garlic bread. A pitcher of sun tea is on the menu, too.

We're going to my sister's house for burgers, hot dogs, baked beans, a new recipe for potato salad that uses Yukon Gold potatoes, cole slaw and a light dessert using whipped topping, strawberries, blueberries and angel food cake.

Having about 20 people over, so I have a simple, but diverse menu planned:
Burgers, half regular and half kofte-seasoned, hot dogs and bratwurst with sauerkraut, sriracha wings, curry couscous salad, antipasto salad, and potato salad, shrimp and artichoke dip, and lots of cheeses and olives, and plenty of wine!

Unfortunately, it's going to be sunny and warm here. I really enjoyed the 60s and rain all week.
The 4th of July menu will probably be Italian since we've settled on meeting at Italian Village/Short North in Columbus.

Sausage, potato salad, corn on the cob, baked beans and maybe pasta salad and that angel food cake dessert sounds good, except I'll have to make it with real whipped cream (or maybe Bittman's Almond Cream Anglaise) and homemade angel food cake.

My parents are having 40+ people over. My dad will be grill burgers, hot dogs, turkey sausage, ribs, skirt steak, brisket, and chicken and will be making turkey chili and a smoked turkey meatloaf. There is probably at least a few things I am forgetting. My mom will be making most of the salads (cole slaw, carrot salad, green salad, maybe pasta salad). I'll be making mini cornbread muffins with corn and jalapeno, pico de gallo, roasted tomato salsa, roasted red pepper hummus, white bean dip, and artichoke-olive dip and bringing it with me to their house, and I'm going to make guac when I get there tomorrow. My grandma will make a couple desserts and then guests will bring some too.
I just got full reading all that!

Grilled NY Strips, beer can chicken, salt potatoes, quinoa and wild rice salad, grilled corn, and roasted balsamic cipolline onions and mushrooms. I think dessert will be a peach and berry crisp with icecream.

Grilled brats, corn on the cob, potato salad, cole slaw, watermelon and
ice tea. For two! Oh and the cat will get whatever falls on the floor.

BBQ chicken, corn on the cob, fresh fruit salad ( I grew the fruit!) , deviled eggs, regular green salad(mom grew the lettuce) and a huge 4 layer chocolate cake. I like to keep it classic and simple. Although, I must say I feel like I am missing something still...

(hopefully my cornflake-marshmallow choc. chip cookies) beer, sangria
I was reading some of the other comments posted and the "Scrambled dogs" sounds interesting as does the snicker's salad--HHMMM?!?

I'm going to a potluck BBQ, hopefully some good grub, looking forward to hot dogs and burgers with lots of sides.
My additions are lemon zucchini bars with cream cheese frosting and blueberries and raspberries dotting the top for a patriotic touch. Plus a New Year's bean salad with artichokes. Very flavorful and healthy.

I didn't see it on anyones menu, but I was at a large food suppliers cash n carry store the other day, and it seemed like everyone but me was in there to pick up clams for the 4th. I picked up a clam knife so I'll be ready for next year.
