Gallery of Converted Restaurant Storefronts

Methinks that hat used to belong to an Arby's. From Not Fooling Anybody.
Not Fooling Anyone documents storefronts whose past lives, mostly as fast food restaurants, still shine through. For instance, that Starbucks looks a bit like a Friendly's, and the Des Moines Police Traffic Unit has "Pizza Hut" written all over it. If you come across any bad conversions, submit your photos! Believe it or not ... There is a store around Portland (on the highway out to St. Helens) that looks like it was an old-style Pizza Hut building (with the tiled roof) that has been painted blue, and is now "Fat Cobra Adult Video" ... I get a laugh out of that building whenever I drive by! My camera isn't fast enough to snap the picture as I drive by, so I will have to park next to the building to take the phot (but then people will see me, and assume I am 'perusing the wares' ...)

It makes me happy to see these once chain restaurants now owned by moms and pops.

In Ann Arbor, there is an awesome Thai restaurant called TupTim (http://www.tuptim.com/index.htm) that still looks like the Long John Silvers it once was

@ajbetz I know of that store and it cracks me up when I pass it going to Sauvie Island.
I also know of that Des Moines cop shop from living in Des Moines for a while, it's close to Drake Stadium, home of the famous Drake Relays.
