It's a sad and perverse tradition at my house to get strawberry shakes from McD's after trips to the ER (and we've indulged 10 times in the past 18 months or so). When you get discharged at 2 in the morning, that's the only thing open; and ya kinda need a bit of comfort, after all ....

frostys from wendys

In-N-Out Double Double animal style!

A Cheeseburger Happy Meal!

The burgers at Steak'n'Shake - I haven't had one of these since I was in college, but they're not reproduced anywhere east of Ohio so far as I know. They're crispy squished little things, but they still taste wonderful!

Hot Dog Nugges from Nathan's! Little bites of corndog goodness...

Chick-Fil-A Chicken Sandwich. Just two warm buns, pickles and breaded/fried delicious moist chicken!

Arby's chicken strips with curly fries.

Or when on the west coast (sadly, not enough), In-N-Out Double Double with fries.

the mac wrap from mcdonalds :)

A Steak 'n' Shake double steakburger and their awesome chili.

Mickey D's fries, of course!

filet o' fish

Since I was first introduced to chicken nuggets in my first happy meal - I've never been able to stay away from them

Do corndogs count? :) If not, shamrock shake from mc ds!

White Castle slyders with cheese, dipped in a ketchup/mustard mixture.

My favorite fast food item is the sometimes-there chicken fajita from the McDonald's dollar menu. It tastes like pure junk.

Failing that, I default to Chipotle ANYTHING.

Skyline Chili five way, hands down. (NO GoldStar!)

Chick-fil-a nuggets or Chipotle. Done and done.

Tie between Jack in the Box 2 Tacos for 99 cents and In-n-Out animal style Double-Double.

I love a whopper and Burger King's onion rings!

French Fries

Anything from KFC.

On a 90s high school kid summer budget with employee friends, a giant tray of Arby's curly fries with cheese, special sauce and whatever else the 'chefs' improvised with, with a side of chicken fingers, all for less than a buck.

so many...mcdonald's fries with a mcflurry sounds really good right now. does shake shack count? because if so, double shack, concrete (designed by me) and cheese fries!

Checkers fries!

mcdonald's shamrock shake. i haven't had one in a while :(

Grilled Stuft Burrito from Taco Bell. I'm not proud.

In-N-Out Cheeseburger Animal Style w/ fries and a strawberry shake!

omg gimme some french fries!! hot and greasy and crispy and heavenly french fry-ee!

In and out, double double animal style OR Carls Jr. western bacon cheeseburger, depending on mood.

The french fries from Checkers. Mmmm ... the seasoning ... the carbolicious potatoes ... I'm telling you, those fries could create world peace.

White Caste cheeseburgers with cold pickles and cold ketchup

double whopper with cheese and a chocolate shake.

McDonald's french fries for sure!

if you call in-n-out fastfood, then a double-double. However, in talking about REAL fast food... White Castle sliders. get a crave case, and eat it on the drive home from my parents house in Jersey. yummmmm

Chick-Fil-A's chicken sandwich – perfect combination of pickles and chicken and soft bun.

Bambinos and fries with wild n crazy dippin' sauce from Good Times, with chik-fil-a's waffle fries coming in at a close second

Shoe-string french fries.

I am a sucker for the Jack in the Box tacos.

Either anything from Chick-Fil-A or an In-n-Out Double Double and fries with a squeeze of lime and salt

The burger as in a Whopper or the chicken strips meal from Whataburger with extra gravy for the fries.

Chik-Fil-A chicken sandwich...mmmm pickles!

The Shamrock Shake from McDonalds!

In 'n out animal style fries.

taco bell (hanging head in shame)

popcorn chicken :x

chicken mcnuggets

Easy: 2 double cheeseburgers from McDonald's with the top bun taken off of one, bottom bun taken off the other. Put together and you have the double-double. So bad and so good.

Wendy's Baconator.... bacony, cheesy, burgery tastiness.

Spicy fries from Five Guys!!

Bacon and Cheese McGriddle!

Five Guys Little Bacon Burger loaded with just about every option. Yummmmmm

a baconator from wendy's

Lobster roll from Duchess

small hamburger from five guys, or a frosty from wendy's!

A Lick's veggie burger, or 7 layer burrito from Tac-ho Bell!

McDonald's french fries or really any fast-food fries! I didn't eat burgers as a kid so this was basically all I ordered.

anything from taco bell!

Chocolate frosty and a junior bacon cheeseburger...

Chaco-taco FTW! Taco Bell used to have them, along with those cinnamon crispers, and there was nothing like 2 soft chicken tacos followed by...

Tearing into the chewy goodness of the cookie wafer shell...
accented by the melty vanilla ice cream...
chocolate haphazardly drizzled across the top
with a touch of crunch from the nuts

and that LAST BITE that was always a complete mess, but it was really completely wonderful!

You know what else everybody likes? Parfaits. Have you ever met a person, you say, "Let's get some parfait," they say, "Hell no, I don't like no parfait"? Parfaits are delicious.

Nathan's cheese dog (at the original Nathan's), with a side of freshly-shucked clams.

All french fries are good.

Arby's Beef n Cheddar...

Anything from Harold's Chicken Shack. Gizzards, livers, catfish- of course with extra hot sauce.

Chik-Fil-A chicken sandwich with extra pickles and mayo...i'm craving one right now!

I have always had a thing for the original king of fast food... the big mac. I rarely indulge (it's probably been at least a year) but there is just something about it that has a hold on me

In & Out burger, animal style.

Chick-fil-A chicken strips and waffle fries! Really anything from Chick-fil-A...yum.

Grilled cheese with fries from Steak N Shake... mmm...

fries and nuggets from McDonald's....I don't care how fake they are or how they are cooked. They are delicious.

I can always go for a Wendy's Spicy Chicken Go Wrap!

I don't eat fast food that often, but I can never turn down In-N-Out burgers, or a Wendy's Frosty

White Castle double cheeseburger

A Five Guys burger, or a trip to Chipotle.

It's gotta be from Wendy's, and it's gotta be the Spicy Chicken Sandwich.

I love McDonalds filet-o-fish. My grama and I used to get them when I was little and it always reminds me of her.

I hate to say it, but McNuggets. So good and yet so bad.

chipotle crispy chicken tacos

fudge sundae at mcdonalds- only $1

this is an embarassing post because it is also making me crave everything I see in these posts, however, I'm going to have to go with Micky D's fries!

Either a White Castle cheeseburger with everything (including the mustard and ketchup mixed together that my mom calls "the gross brown sauce") or a chili cheese burrito from Taco Bell. Not all Taco Bell's have them. It's always disappointing when I go in and they don't have it.

Wendy's chicken sandwich.

Burger Bar lamb burger in Israel. yum.

burger from shake shack!

in-n-out cheeseburger animal style with a neapolitan milkshake

I love Sonic's Bacon Cheeseburger Toaster Sandwich, but frankly it doesn't taste as good unless it has a side of fried pickles and a lemon/berry slushie and I'm eating it in my Jeep with the top down on a 72-degree spring day with a slow breeze out of the southeast.

Pretty particular, I guess.

My ultimate fast food indulgence has to be Grey’s Papaya Hot Dog(s)! Just a little bit of ketchup and life couldn’t be better!

Chipotle Carnitas Burrito.

Pick Quick on highway 99. Bacon cheeseburger & fries to dip in my strawberry shake please!

chick-fil-a chicken nuggets with their waffle fries

Taco John's Taco Bravo. (You know the "double-decker" taco at Taco Bell? They stole the idea from a Taco Bravo). And they are much tastier.

I like the breakfast items, especially when I'm on the go - sausage egg mcmuffin

Since I'm a vegetarian, I'd have to say french fries -- no matter where they're from -- are my lone fast food addiction. Something about those deep fried, salty bits of tater makes my mouth water...

Sonic's Cherry Limeade. And as the closest Sonic is about a 90-minute drive from me, I don't get it very often.

Mexican hot dogs. But if it has to be a chain, I'd say that the Coffee Toffee Twisty Frosty is calling to me. Never had one (not yet), but the commercials are catchy.

gotta be those chicken mcnuggets and sweet & sour sauce. so good, but unfortunately makes my stomach hurt each time i venture back there. sucks how this comment contradicts my stance on fast food. but every now and then is okay! cheers!

Popeye Tuna wraps from Roly Poly, but with no cheese and no onions WITH avocado and Greek olives. Yummmmmmm.

Lemon berry slush from Sonic!

Fish sandwich or anything ice creamy

My FAVORITE thing to get out at fast food???? hmmm... it would have to be a mistake at mcdonalds. i got a bigmac but they used the 1/4lb meat, so it was a 1/2lb bigmac!!!!!!!!!!mmmmmmmmmmm

Krystal burgers are my all-time favorite! So yummy... And no, White Castles are NOT the same thing. =)

How can you not be completely addicted to fries? I am. It's a toss up between Red Robin and Wendy's fries. I adore the soggy ones the most.

A wendy's frosty eaten with mcd's fries instead of a spoon...carbon footprint be damned! this is worth trips to two different drivethrus!

Checkers' spicy chicken sandwich and fries with an orange soda. Or Wendy's fries, when you luck out and get the non-burned ones.

i'm also an in n out animal style fry fan. or those gosh darn addicting 2 for .99 tacos from jack in the box. :)

Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger from Wendy's *drool* I could eat five of them and still have room for a Frosty!

Always delicious double double from In and Out. Best thing in the world!

Chili cheese coneys with finely chopped onions from James Coney Island in Houston, TX

Wendy's fries. I know they're horrible for you, but they taste so good!

McDonald's Sausage Biscuit with Egg. Grape jelly on the side.

Mcdonals french fries drenched in their honey mustard sauce. I could eat those for hours mmmmm.

Peruvian chicken dinner with yucca fries from Wild Chicken. Or from el Pollo Rico. Or from Guapas. Or from ....

Frosties and fries from Wendy's

Egg McMuffin minus the ham for a quick breakfast very early in the morning when you're on the road.

Sonic's lemon berry slush and McDonald's fries. Yum!

Chick-Fil-A chicken nuggets. They don't even need sauce, they're perfect the way they are (save the ranch dipping sauce for the waffle fries instead!)

McChicken or the double cheeseburger. I have always contemplated combining the two, but I think that my body would just give out on me.

In-N-Out Fry Animal! Cheesy, oniony, 1000-islandy goodness

French fries!

In-N-Out double, double animal style. Or in a pinch Jack In the Box tacos (greasy goodness).

The Whopper. That's some good stuff.

McDonald's Fries, natch.

French fries, but NOT Mickey D's.

Good Times wild fries dipped and eaten in their vanilla custard

OR

McDonald's breakfast. Every once in a while a sausage McMuffin with egg just hits the spot.

white castle sliders and waffle fries and chicken nuggets from chick filla

Culver's Team Scoopie Butterburger Meal! It comes with a burger that's almost as big as the original butter burger, a choice between: fries, onion rings, or cheese curds, a soft drink or milk, and a free scoop of custard with any one topping. Plus, a scoopie ticket. When you save up 10 you can get a free t-shirt or a free kids meal!

A good old fashioned double cheeseburger meal from McDonalds...I love those diced onions like it's my job.

checkers fries!

cheesy gordita crunch from taco bell

The McDonald's soft-serve ice cream cone. I could eat them every day. And back in Spain in the days of the peseta, when it cost 50 pesetas (or roughly 30 cents), I practically did.

a western bacon cheeseburger with onion rings french fries and a larrrrrge classic coke, shared with my bf and his double western bacon cheeseburger nommmmmmmmm carls jr.

In'N'Out double double.

Cruncy tacos supreme from Taco Bell and Gray's Papaya hot dogs tie FTW!

And if you haven't had it in Quebec, you haven't had poutine.

I'm addicted.

Depending on where I am in the country and what options are offered, I have a few mainstays...in CA at In-n-Out it's an animal style burger, on the East Coast it's Nathan's hot dog nuggets, and in between it's an Arby's roast beef with a slice of cheddar.

Sonic's lemon slush.

A sack of sliders from White Castle!

Chickfila chicken strips, waffle fries and a ton of sauce! (Chickfila sauce, honey mustard, and polynesian!)

I will admit that hands down my fav fast food item are cheeseburgers from White Castle. Luckily, we don't have a White Castle in the entire great state of Texas. My waistline approves of the company's lack of expansion and appreciates in turn it's lack of expansion.

10 years prior to this, i would've probably said KFC's mac&cheese, loved to eat it while on vacation. But my favourite fast food nowadays would have to be Pizza, anywhere, anytime, and the same applies for ice cream!
