One-Bite Sundae from Popeye's Soda Shop

I love eating sundaes for the combination of ice cream, hot fudge, and whipped cream in each bite, but I hate that one sundae from a restaurant is usually too large for a single person (and sometimes two people) to eat. While excessiveness is part of the fun of a sundae, it's also part of the subsequent indigestion I feel (plus a dash of moaning) after polishing off every last bit. In my world, there is no willpower when a sundae is involved.

That's why the One-Bite Sundae from Popeye's Soda Shop in Dresden, Ohio, appeals to me. GrubGrade features the sundae in their restaurant review. The sundae is topped with whipped cream, sprinkles, and your choice of hot fudge, strawberry, caramel, or chocolate sauce. For only 50 cents, it sounds like a tasty, cheap, non-moan-inducing way to end a meal.

Boppy! You would love the World's Smallest Fudge Sundae at Dan Ryan's Chicago Grill in (of all places) Hong Kong. (I think there are branches of that restaurant in Singapore, too.) It's the same general concept as this one but much cuter, I think, because they serve it in a little shot glass or egg cup that looks like a shrunken-down parfait glass!

Yeah, sometimes you want the taste of something sweet after a meal but you just don't want your own weight in brownie.

Yet another thing I must eat in HK. AHHH.

It's like a sundae shot! I like it.

This is a great idea, much better than the desserts that have enough calories to equal a meal or more!

Am I the only one here who think there is a sad lack of hot fudge on that there sundae? More hot fudge, please!

i love this. i'm lactose intolerant, so that's the perfect amount for me.
when i'm on a long road trip & need a pick me up i'll get a small coffee and a small soft serve from mcd's (just about the ONLY time i eat there). alternating between the two works pretty well with the hot/cold/sugar/caffeine combo. however, trying to convince the staff at mcd's that i really only want the ice cream to come up to the top of the cone is a fruitless endeavor-they always make it super tall no matter what & i wind up hucking the top off with a flick of my wrist-lol.
