In Videos: Every Jelly Baby Scene in 'Doctor Who'
"I left my jelly babies in the TARDIS.... They're a delicacy I discovered on Earth."
Yesterday, we briefly mentioned how the Beatles did not like having candy jelly babies thrown at them while on stage. While poking around YouTube looking at jelly baby experiment videos, I found an awesome compilation of every jelly baby scene in Doctor Who.
Along with his out-of-control curly hair and extraloooong scarf, one of the signature quirks of the Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker) was his love for jelly babies. He offered them to everyone and anyone, including his archenemy and Dalek-creator, Davros.
And there's a memorable bit at 4:16 in which the Doctor tries a bluff, telling some primitive-looking warriors, "Now drop your weapons, or I'll kill him with this deadly jelly baby." Video, after the jump.

I knew you'd do it ,Adam! I read that original blog post on jelly babies and thought to myself, " Of course I know what a Jelly Baby is... although I've never had one. Tom Baker's Doctor. Hah!". Good job.

I know this is a 'Serious Eats' forum, so I won't get into a discussion about how the second Romana was the coolest companion ever and when I was eleven or so I wanted to change my name to Romana. Although given the scantily dressed Leela (I think that was her name) male Dr. Who fans may disagree.
I stopped watching after Peter Davidson, though, so the other doctors threw me for a bit of a loop. I thought only Tom Baker was the Jelly Baby master.
I wonder if Jelly Babies in the UK ever capitalized upon Dr. Who, like the whole Reeces Pieces/ET marketing product placement here.

@HeartofGlass - Nah, I'm a girl and I always though Leela was the best (much as I did enjoy the second Romana).
