Great...this is assuming that hubby could actually cook any of these things for me. I'll be lucky to get overcooked scrambled eggs but I will NOT go out for Mother's Day. I worked in the biz too many years to know it's the busiest restaurant day of the year. Looks like I'm cooking my own brunch.

Great ideas!
I'm going to make us lunch and hang out looking at my pictures from Italy for Mother's Day. Here's my menu:
Romaine Hearts in Vinaigrette with White Anchovies and Parmesan
Spaghetti All'Ubriaco from this site
Giada's Chocolate Hazelnut Gelato

I put together this mother's day brunch planner. I think it's really helpful: http://www.recipe4living.com/Common/Article.aspx?id=67058

Let mum sleep in, and have a traditional tea later. A pot of hot tea, home-made scones (very easy, even for a novice), thick cream, jam and biscuits. If you want it to be a full meal, add some cucumber sandwiches, some salmon and cream cheese sandwiches and some mini-BLTs, all on buttered soft bread minus the crusts and cut into diagonals. There is nothing like a big platter of sandwiches...

I did a family mother's day brunch today. We had Peach Mimosa with Asti and Mocktail version for my three nieces 2,5,9.
Thomas Keller Quiche in two kinds, mushroom leek and lorraine.
Hash Browns
Asparagus vinegarette
Caprese Salad
Country sausage
Blueberry Muffins
and Cinnamon rolls
Everyone just left and it was a good occasion and menu.
