Place Setting from Hell

20090429-nataliedee.jpg

This illustration by Natalie Dee is an accurate representation of how I feel when faced with a confusingly elaborate place setting. I can already sense the mocking from my dining partners for my unfamiliarity with bread screws.

Where's the finger bowl?

I love Natalie Dee!!

I totally use my spoonless spoon all the time. Yup.

Don't forget the "fish knife," which Ms. Dee would probably show as fish-shaped!

This is brilliant.

I love this drawing, but in fairness, what's so confusing about fancy place settings? Doesn't everyone know by now that you just use utensils from the outside in?

@esmesbell: I almost never eat at restaurants with fancy place settings, so..yes, it can be confusing for me. :\

!roboppy: Me neither, but in case we ever do, that's how it works :)
