The Food 'Twitterati'

20080903-twitter.jpgAll you food-lovin' Twitter haters out there might change your mind about the microblogging service when you see some of the food luminaries who are tweeting. The San Francisco Chronicle namechecks a few: Ruth Reichl, Martha Stewart, Mark Bittman, Grant Achatz. The paper localizes the story by noting some well-known Bay Area chefs using the service: Daniel Patterson, Chris Cosentino, Nate Appleman, Eater SF, and Richie Nakano. (And, as always, you can follow Serious Eats here: @seriouseats.)

Thanks for posting this! I am always looking for new and interesting people to follow, especially those who know and love food. Although twitter definitely takes some getting used to, it's a really valuable tool for anyone hungry for information about food, recipes, trends, new sites and cookbooks.

I love getting these twitters! Really keeps you up on whats cooking (pun had to happen).

If I wanted to hear chefs babble on about themselves nonsensically, I would just do coke with them after closing time...

Don't forget David Lebovitz! I love his blog, but his twitter is what made me a Big Fan. He's hilarious.
