Jean-Georges Vongerichten Looking to Create Haute Cuisine Chain with 'Reach of McDonald's'

Fortune magazine reports that Jean-Georges Vongerichten and his business partner are teaming up with Starwood Hotels and a private equity firm behind Outback Steakhouse, with plans to open 50 new restaurants in five years. "... Culinary Concepts by Jean-Georges plans to conquer the world with three main prototypes: Market, J&G Steakhouse, and Spice Market, a standalone restaurant that pays homage to Asian street food."
