In Videos: 'Pancake Island' Denny's Commercial

Like with their Nannerpus commercial, Denny's tempts me once again with a nonsensical commercial featuring a stack of pancakes and a catchy jingle that declares, "Pancake Island is the place to be / The sweetest syrup on the Seven Seas." Too bad Pancake Island isn't real. Watch the video after the jump.

That's funny. Whenever I see that commercial I want those pancakes, too!

(And isn't Denny's famous for the rootin' tootin' fresh and fruity breakfast?)

I actually want the pancake island. If there was a restaurant that served something like that I would definitely order it.

Those commercials scare the crap out of me.

Oh yeah. I would totally eat this....and the one from the other commercial--the pink monstrosity with the peppermint candies and twirling ballerina. Don't taunt me, Denny's!

Umm, I think a lot of people are missing the point of these commercials...

It so looks like a Sandra Lee creation. Especially with the Candy Corns on top.

@jenjw4, Rooty Tooty Fresh 'n' Fruity was an IHOP thing, I think... the place I always assume they're making fun of.

I dont care what these commercials are trying to convey... They fail because they make me want to go to IHOP even more. The cowboy one really bugs me/amuses me. So the economy sucks...I guess that means go to Denny's and be depressed with a depressing breakfast? No idea. I want giggle drops and a nanerpuss on my pancakes. Fun! And if I'm feeling serious, then dang nabbit i"ll order an omelet.

The nannerpus commercial is my favorite commercial of all time.

Pancake Island sounds like somewhere Flapjack and K'Nuckles would visit. Also somewhere I want to go.
