Blogwatch: Ricotta Pancakes with Figs
With her first figs of the season, Marion of The Hedonistic Hostess wanted to make a dish that would complement their fresh flavor. One batch of ricotta pancakes later, she was there. Topped with fresh figs and a drizzle of honey butter, this sounds like a simple yet elegant breakfast I would love to have any day of the week. I've also been on a big pancake kick lately; pancakes for breakfast, as a snack, for dessert. It's crazy! Now I just have to find someone willing to cook them for me.

Those look awesome. There is no substitute for the taste of hot, homemade pancakes slathered in real maple syrup. We're gonna post some blueberry soufflé pancakes we had over the weekend later this week.

Good Lord that looks delightful. I cannot wait for the figs in our area to ripen....should be soon!!!

Good grief--I just had lunch and I still want to eat this. No figs where I am--snow still packed onto the garden--but I might just have to try those pancakes au naturel. Hey, and even if I can't find figs, I can use maple syrup only a few hours out of the tree.
