Blogwatch: Lemon Poppy Seed Muffin

20090318lemonpoppyseedmuffin.JPG

Sara of I'm a Food Blog has been on a muffin kick lately. They're great to make ahead, freeze, and have on hand. Adapted from a recipe by Dorie Greenspan, these lemon poppy seed muffins are a bright start to your day. Take the time to enjoy them with a cup of tea at home or at work.

Looks really good - where's my cawfee!?!?

YUM! now dare I admit I just finished a similar batch using (gasp!) cake mix and a quickie recipe from recipezaar? Doing spring cleanup of 2008 provisions aboard a boat, I found a lonely box of lemon cake mix. The Costco Muffin - Copycat recipe, with glaze added, utilized an aging box mix and was pretty tasty... or could it have been the blustery, wet, frigid weather that would make anything baked a treat? The gang on the dock loved them.
