You Can't Even Drink Away the Misery
The crap economy has forestalled Guinness's plans to open a "super brewery." St. James Gate, the company's historic Dublin brewery, was to consolidate older buildings and sell off the freed-up land to finance the new operation. But, as the Wall Street Journal reports, that's down the drain now.

I love Guinness, but after having lost my job, I can't afford it anymore. It's $8.99 a six pack. The same can be said for, what is to me is a lesser beer, Sam Adams. I enjoy it, but they want to stay in the higher end price range(beer snob range), despite no longer being a true micro brew. I can no longer afford them, or any other beer priced that high.
I am now down to drinking Bud Light only, which is no big deal, as that's my "slam 'em down, back up brew". Thing is, if I don't get back to work soon, i'll be switching to cheap rum, and playing my guitar outside the Trader Joe's for change.
