Verte, the Two Lipped Non-Dripping Bottle

20090211-noro.jpg

behance.net

Verte by Barcelona-based designer Noro is a bottle that features two lips to catch spills and return them to inside the bottle. It's certainly classier looking and more functional than the purple elephant spout (although I do have a soft spot in my heart for the elephant). The more non-drip bottle designs we have the better, so I don't have to keep wiping the sides of my unintentionally oil-slicked bottles. [via Wired]

That is just mean! These are beautiful, and I want them, but apparently they are not for sale? Mean!

Yeah, it's a beautiful bottle, and quite functional.

But who's gonna clean it? Not me.

neato!

I hope it's available soon

Good news, fans! They have this as a bottle-stopper available at crate & barrel for like $5. Its advertised more as a wine bottle stopper, to be used instead of those little foil circles to prevent drips. Works like a charm!

It would be nice to provide a link to a web page that sells them. What gives? Are they going to be for sale soon?

mh330 - yep I have those too! I use them all the time and they are super-cheap Though these ones featured are really really nice asthetically. I bought the little metal pieces for like $5 CAN at some random kitchen store? I tried to find a picture of them but I came across a patent? [US Patent 6609639 - Drip prevention apparatus]

I've had my eye on these bottles for a while now, but haven't given in to their steep price tag. They don't "recycle" the oil like the Verte bottles, but supposedly all drips are stopped.

FYI, here's the link for the crate & barrel version:

@mh330: Thanks for the info!
