Valentine's: Chocolate and Raspberry Kisses

I've blogged about Candy Corn Kisses at Halloween. Candy Cane Kisses at Christmas. Now, I've fallen in love all over again. I have two new Valentines, and they're sweet as candy.

Valentine's Day is all about celebrating couples that go great together: peanut butter and jelly have a long and loving relationship. So do lamb and mint, and bread and butter. But no romance is more perfect in my eyes, or to my taste buds, than chocolate and raspberry. This Valentine's Day, Hershey’s is celebrating the happy couple and perfect pair with two odes to Chocolate-Raspberry perfection: Dark Chocolate Raspberry Kisses, and Milk Chocolate and Raspberry Crème Hugs.

The Kiss is dark and solid, not too sweet, with just an essence of berry. The Hug is sweeter and softer, with a layer of white chocolate and raspberry stripe on the outside, and a milk chocolate core. They melted. I melted. I love them both; I can't decide which is better. Just like with real Valentine's romance, you can't have a kiss without a hug, or vice versa.

Now pucker up.

The raspberry Hug one looks extra cute.
