Google Cafeteria Still Stocks It's-It Ice Cream Sandwiches

20090213-itsit.jpgDespite recent budget-trimming at Google, the Bay Area's main campus still stocks It's-Its. Like the name, the institutional San Francisco dessert isn't complicated—just two chocolate-dipped oatmeal cookies sandwiching your choice of ice cream (strawberry, vanilla, chocolate, and mint). Kayoko of Umami Mart appreciated the cafeteria's Indian and sushi bars but knows where it's really at.

I thought I'd heard somewhere that the Google ones are a special formula, made without HFCS. True, or Silicon Valley urban legend?

Just so happends that one of my best friends is a Google engineer, and told me about these over chicken pot pie I made for dinner last night. He did say that the Google version is made with sugar, not HFCS.

I love It's Its and having not lived in the Bay Area for the last 17 years, whenever we get back, I always have at least one!

I had forgotten all about It's Its having left the Bay Area a decade ago, and now I'm all sad and missing it.

I miss It's Its. I only have them when I go to see family. I need to find a way to get some up to Seattle. They are soooooooooo good.

My housemates work at Google. These are yum =)

I wish they'd give tours! My entire childhood was driving past the factory on 101.
