My mother-in-law used to saute up some sardines with onions and garlic and eat it on toast every morning for breakfast. Made the house stink but mmmmm was it ever tasty! Been a fan of the humble little fishies ever since.

sure the economy sucks but it sure has revived peoples love for the humble foods so often overlooked during fat times. I'm so happy to see sardines in the spotlight - thanks!

I swear by the Roland brand of canned sardines. Consistently high quality and not too strong-tasting.

My grandma used to stuff sardines in a potato roll or pan de sal as a snack for me. I still love them to this day.

Hooray for sardines! I grew up on the sardines in mustard sauce (served on saltine crackers by my Pa), but now I favor the hot n' spicy ones on a piece of whole-grain toast.
So tasty... And they're also more sustainable and low in mercury than other, larger fishes.
