In Videos: 'Girl Drink Drunk' by The Kids in the Hall
Sometimes the social pressures of drinking alcohol are just too overwhelming. In this Kids in the Hall sketch, Dave Foley becomes hooked on girl drinks at the hands of his boss, Kevin McDonald. You know what they say: After you drink that first Chocolate Choo-Choo, you can never go back. Soon you'll be blending drinks on the sly in your office's supply room. A sad, sad tale. I love Kids in the Hall and this has long been one of my favorite sketches. I often refer to it because I prefer girl drinks (I call them lady drinks) to anything else alcoholic.

This is a classic from TKITH.
Was this, perhaps, inspired by the recent promos for SCRUBS in which Zach Braff declaims "I don't like beer. I like appletinis because they make me feel fancy!"

@mr guy: It was actually inspired by our recent Serious Eats bowling party during which I, infamous for not liking alcohol, succumbed to peer pressure and drank four cocktails.
Of course, no one forced me. ;) I told them to bring it on because I probably wouldn't like any of em (also, I didn't have to pay for the drinks!). In the end, I didn't get the teensiest buzz (I think the drinks were too weak besides that my belly was full of pizza and burgers).

I mention this skit all the time. I always use the phrase "girl drink drunk". A classic.

I reference this all the time, too. Every time I joke around about doing something illicit or whatever, I say, "I just have to go get some paperclips first...."
