Porterhouse.

ribeye..but a Peter Luger porterhouse could change that

Right now, it's flank steak, lightly seared, sliced really thin and put on an amazing salad.

I LOVE A FILET, MY HUSBAND, LEON, LOVES A PORTERHOUSE>>> BUT ANY GREAT STEAK FROM PETER LUGER WOULD BE PERFECT!
WHAT A GREAT CONTEST, YUMMMMMMMMMMM...

Filet. If you can get a foie gras + butter chapeaux on top of that, it's pretty much the best thing in the world. Nod to Dylan Prime.

Porterhouse rocks my world.

Probably a ribeye for me.

Ribeye for me!

Bone-in ribeye

Ribeye is so fabulous

Ribeye please, medium rare!

the whole cow

Today, it's porterhouse because I was just remembering a time when my parents bought half a cow and a freezer. I didn't know how lucky I was, but I used to come home from work in the middle of the night and pull a steak out of the freezer. The porterhouse was huge, tender, and very tasty. While it was cooking, I would mix fresh salsa and sour cream into an ugly but very tasty sauce. Thanks for the offer!

kool keith, porterhousin' things

Ribeye or hanger. Mmmmm, steak.

Filet mignon - medium

Ribeye...... seared over charcoal for crunchy on the outside, and medium-rare on the inside

dry aged rib eye

Medium rare.

If I have to choose, I'll say ribeye.

Porterhouse. Fillet on one side, NY Strip on the other.

Ribeye, nothing else comes close.

I love all cuts of steak. I am a meat and potato gal. But I will say, my favorite is one not too many like. It's the 7 bone Chuck steak. It's fatty and greasy and really bad for you, but I love it, it always comes out so tender. I don't eat them often, but I thoroughly enjoy it when I do.

Picking one seems highly unfair. As long as its medium rare I'm happy. Playing by the rules, I'll pick a tender piece of prime rib next to a filet mignon.

New York Strip. Mmmm

I'm a big fan of flap steak. Quick and tasty!

Ribeye followed close by new York strip

Ribeye's my fave.

Bone in NY strip

aged porterhouse, yum....

Kansas City Strip.

I want quality over quantity: a dry aged Onglet! (hanger steak)

Bone-in Ribeye...nothing else compares.

I love Prime Rib

ribeye, very,very rare

Give me a Porterhouse any day!!!

A 2" Ribeye, medium rare!

I'm a wicked carnivore, so am a little less fussy than some folks I know. I'd probably have to say Ribeye or Porterhouse are my faves basted with garlic butter. However, my two dogs are spoiled rotten, so I usually buy Porterhouse just so they can have the bones.

Bone in ribeye... but come on were talking Peter Luger steaks here, any steak from there makes my mouth water.

My favorite cut of steak is a nice fat sirloin.

Porterhouse can't be beat!!

Filet mignon

Nothing beats the taste of a ribeye to me...mmmmmmmmmmm

Favorite = Porterhouse

I'll have to go with filet mignon or prime rib

My favorite steak is: NY Strip ~ Thanks!

Prime rib is my favorite cut.

If I'm cooking at home, I really like flank steak - I like to butterfly it, layer on some stuff, and roll it to roast. It keeps me amused to come up with new combinations. If I'm out, a good rare porterhouse, please.

Filet Minion

Hanger steak is my new favorite!! (Although I'll never pass up a filet mignon or good strip!)

Ribeye on the bone, 2" thick.

Love my Rib-eyes.

I would usually say Ribeye, but the filet mignon we had for Christmas dinner would be hard to beat.

Porterhouse

Yay, flatiron!

Filet Mignon

Filet Mignon, but really, it's all good!

Ribeye (though I usually get skirt).

Well, I used to think it was a closer-to-rare med. rare NY strip, but I'd be willing to give a prime, dry-aged ("longer than four weeks") porterhouse a shot. And as I said last time, Monday *is* my birthday.

Mmmm. Porterhouse it is.

Porterhouse!

Give me a sirloin.

Porterhouse has always been my favorite.

filet mignon!!

I love a filet, but my husband is hands down a porterhouse aficionado. When I mentioned this contest, he said, "I'd kill for this. Those steaks are legendary."

Ditto on the filet with salad upthread (especially with Keller's mustard vinaigrette).

NY Strip. I want to eat a steak that tastes, smells and feels like steak. It's got to give my teeth a run for their money and satisfy the carnivorous craving that has me eating steak in the first place.

Grind it into a hamburger

flat iron or ribeye cap...

Filet or Flat Iron. Yum :)

Porterhouse of course, just don't overcook it, medium rare at most!

Porterhouse from Peter Luger's is the perfect steak and my favorite

Ribeye with a pat of sun-dried tomato compound butter

HEB carries bacon wrapped filets in two and four packs (I think the HEB brand is much better than the HCF brand). I marinade for abount a half hour in some balsamic vinagar with fresh ground pepper and sea salt (go easy on the salt), and add some Adam's roasted garlic bits. I throw these on the gas grill, a crime here in Texas, for about ten minutes a side using indirect heat, and then with low direct heat for about four minutes a side--just until the edges of the bacon start to burn. They melt in your mouth!

Filet mignon!

Filet Mignon mmmmmmmmmmm!

I think Ribeye is the most tender cut of meat. Love it pan seared. Yummy! Think I'll go cook one up now.......

New York Strip for the 5th time.

Gotta have that nice rare porterhouse steak

Filet or Ribeye

ribeye ~ well please

I think I'll just dream of porterhouse a little...

Ribeye, rare. Well-seasoned, char-grilled. Yum yum.

Ribeye or a thick strip, grilled medium rare and thinly sliced. Oh, I have just had my first flat iron steak. Not a ribeye, but very tasty. Oh, any beef at all will do.

Ribeye...fresh off the grill, served with Garlic mashed potatoes, Bushs baked beans and homemade buttermilk biscuits. Somebody ring the dinner bell!

I love the ribeye the best.

RIBEYE!!!!!!

porterhouse

I like ribeye.

New York Strip pour moi!

Filet Mignon...the best!

porterhouse

My favorite is filet mignon. Thank you!

Porterhouse. Peter Luger is the best!

A big old porterhouse for me and a rib-eye for my wife

my bf likes filet mignon, but I love Porterhouse steak. I like it with garlic salt and pepper. It reminds me of summer. I love to bbq it. Then have some iced tea, tomato bread, and a slad with french dressing. In the winter, I can put it on the broiler and pretend it is summer.

NY strip, definitely!

I like them all but I like Filet mignon best :)

Love t-bone

The Ribeye is King!!!!!!

bone-in ribeye :)

Porterhouse...must be Porterhouse. Does Peter Luger serve any other?

Filet Mignon is our family favorite!

The one and only... filet mignon!

Ribeye is my favorite.

Favorite cut is third from the middle going towards the bone on a porterhouse.

Filet mignon!!

Ribeye is my favorite

Today, I'm craving well marinated hangar steak... fajita-style.

Prime rib with au jues (did I spell that wrong? Most likely!)

I like porterhouse steaks.

Ribeye no contest!

If I'm buying and cooking, it's top sirloin: far less costly, lower in fat, and the most "beefy taste." It's a good deal less tender, so marinating and/or cooking style requires adjustment.

I love prime rib but I also like Porterhouse.

My favorite is bone in rib eye!!!!!

It would have to be Filet.

I have to say the T-Bone, But I like the Ribeye and the NY strip very much to.

Tenderloin Baby!~ I love you.

Nothing beats a great prime rib

I love porterhouse!

Prime Rib....

I'm going to say Tri-tip, just to be different.

NY strip for me!

Can't beat a porterhouse - a twofer!

Rib eye and filet mignon are beautiful!

Ribeye!

I'm still not the best griller but ribeye is mighty forgiving and also tastes great when dry fried in kosher salt for the hubby.

For grilling, easily porterhouse so you get a little sirloin and a little tenderloin. Ribeyes, properly trimmed, are nice but sirloin has so much more flavor.

My favourite cut of steak is the first cut made with my knife into any USDA Prime piece of meat that has been properly prepared and gets it to my mouth the quickest.

New York Strip!

Porterhouse is my favorite

Porterhouse and rib eye steaks for me.

My favorite cut in general is definitely ribeye because it has the most flavor, but if I want a leaner cut of meat, I love a porterhouse too.

Ribeye Baby!

First cut, prime chuck steak - believe it or not. My bubbe used to prepare chuck steak for my Uncle, who worked all night "on the railroad," in New Jersey. He'd come home from work in the morning, and she'd serve his utterly cooked (for hours) steak with onions and "brown potatoes", while we had to eat our oatmeal. It's always been a treat to have chuck steak the ay she cooked it.

The steak I'm chewing on!

Rib Eye or Hanger, depends on the mood.

Porterhouse, with just a touch of good salt.

Porterhouse!

Porterhouse, medium rare! Thank you!

I like a NY strip steak well done

crzycrs@hotmail.com porterhouse steaks are my favorite

Either a ribeye or prime rib, medium rare

the new york strip

the cowboy cut, of course!!!!

A “cowboy cut” is a cut of steak with the bone in (for use by cowboys as a handle). The term “cowboy cut” appeared in the late 1960s and 1970s; Wrangler introduced its “cowboy cut” jeans before this steak cut had its name.

go dallas cowboys!!!

My favorite is the simple Sirloin - you can't beat it for flavor and for tenderness when it is grilled!

NY strip is my favorite

all parts with a bit of fat makes me very happy...my kids profess to be vegetarians, so it's a holiday when I can eat a nice piece of med-rare meat!!!!

Ribeye...always.

Although it's not in the budget, I love a good porterhouse.

Porterhouse hands down. The best of both worlds.

filet mignon definately!

Ribeye, marbled.

I usually make a T-bone. My DH loves the NY strip and I eat the filet. So it's the perfect family steak for us!

Ribeye is my choice cut of steak. It is the most flavorable cut because of the fat and I love it. Bring it on!
