Zingerman's Senior Package: A Mighty Tasty Combo

20081021-pencil.jpgWow! You serious eaters came up with some mighty tempting ideas when we asked what should go in the Zingerman's Serious Eats Senior Care Package. You made our decision difficult, but decide we did. Congratulations, BrooklynBrownie, you've won the Zingerman's gift certificate. Your senior package rocked the house, as everyone can see here:

Zingerman's Serious Eats Senior Care Package

  • Roadhouse Joe Coffee: "Necessary fuel for reading period and exams"
  • Sourcream Coffeecake: "Quick and easy breakfast on the way to class"
  • Chile Cheddar Bread: "A party in your pantry, perfect for sharing or saving for yourself"
  • Mo's Bacon Bar: "Bacon and chocolate is a combination that's meant to be"
  • Antique Gruyère: "A chunk of gruyere from Murray's changed my life as a sophomore at NYU; gotta pay it forward"
  • Chorizo: "Tasty formerly illicit pork product. Need I say more?"
  • Ginger Brownie: "Late-night sugar rush with a kick"
  • Peppery Black Currant Vampire's Lunch Gummis: "Aw, remember when your mom used to pack you fruit snacks? Well, these are made with real fruit, and the currant pepper combo should appeal to your developing palate while reminding you that you'll always be your parent's baby"

In fact, I would say any food care package featuring bacon, cheese, chorizo, chocolate, and gummis, would be welcomed by undergraduates, about-to-be-graduates, graduate students, and any and all serious eaters.

The rest of us, both seniors and not, can enjoy the product of BrooklynBrownie's fertile food imagination by ordering a Zingerman's Senior Package for any serious eater we know. It's a hundred dollars, but thanks to the good folks at Zingerman's, serious eaters will get 10 percent off by using our secret code, SERIOUSLY.
