D.C. Bars to Stay Open 24 Hours During Inauguration Week
Partaay. The D.C. Council approved legislation that will allow bars, nightclubs, and restaurants in the District to serve alcohol until 5 a.m.—three hours later than usual—and remain open for food around the clock. Offer's good from January 17 until January 20, the morning of Obama's swearing-in.

great news! i'm planning on going to d.c. that weekend! both my sister and best friend live there, so i have free places to crash downtown. (and no, i don't have tix to it-i just wanna be there, since i couldn't make grant park on election night) anybody else going?

Because I live here, I certainly will be there! I also don't have tickets, and if anyone is looking to rent an apartment for those few days, my roommates and I will be doing so. (Sorry for the pitch, I just couldn't resist!)

I think DC bars will be open until 5 am, not 24 hours. Sorry folks.
