Sad because it is a really amazing experience (glad I was able to see it this summer!), but for the best. It is a chaotic mess of fish, workers, tourists, forklifts and 4 foot long knives. I nearly had my toes run over several times!

Hmm. This is actually a non-story. They are only banning tourists from the early early tuna auction (4-6 AM) - and the funny part is that tourists were ALREADY banned from that. The only change seems to be that you won't be able to sneak in like you could before. The main market remains open to the public. Worry not, foodie-photographers.

I agree with spiffae. It is so crazy and chaotic that you will feel like you are in the way....it is a really amazing experience though.
