The Gyoza Dog at Japan's DisneySea Theme Park

20081205-gyozadog.jpg

"Most exciting food was the 'Gyoza Dog.' More like a steamed bun with gyoza-like filling (note the phallic exterior). It was right out side the 'Journey to the Center of the Universe' ride. The line for the Gyoza Dog was just as long as the line for the ride." [Umami Mart]

I kind of want to try that. At least once.

that looks obscene and I imagine most of the men here are looking at that are wincing and crossing their legs while little beads of sweat form on their brow.

talk about food porn!

That looks good. But since that looks like the normal way steamed buns are closed, I didn't even think that it looked phallic until it was mentioned.

I might be worse off, I still don't see the phallacy...

That actually looks pretty good and I think it would be fairly easy to make. To me, it looks more like a sausage than a hot dog so the taste would be fairly consistent. I'm not seeing anything phallic though - it just looks like a really big gyoza.

@Southern ~ My jaw dropped when I saw this photo! It reminded me of Silence of the Lambs, with a different body part confined.......

@Iz - I guess it's just you and I traveling down Phallic Lane.

Oh my god! For some reason part of my memory thinks I bought one several years ago.

It looks like a sea cucumber. "DisneySea" theme park....coincidence? I think not. Also, I'd totally eat that.

That looks so wrong.

But so good.

Oh man, that looks quite the multiple flavor/texture treat. I'm waiting for izakayas to start serving the same thing but pan-seared!
