Photo of the Day: Wiener Dog
Serious eater Cybercita forwarded this photo to me last night. At first I thought we had blogged about this lil' dog in a hot dog bun, but a quick search of the SE archives shows that, nope, we haven't. And that's sort of surprising, considering the panoply of weird-animal-food photos we've got on the site. So, in the interest of being completist—and because it's been a bit of a hot dog day today, here you go.

Oh. My. God. That is the single cutest thing I have ever seen and IF I could be guaranteed to have a dog as cute as that, that will stay precisely that size forever and ever, I would probably purchase the cutie pie!!!

That's one silly picture. Both of my doxies were appalled, but they did ask if they could eat the bun when the itty bitty doggie was finished with it.

Yes, dachshunds rule!!! (and we have two of them:-) We were foolish and took an almost identical picture of our little one when we got her 3 years ago...she was so tiny, we felt like we had to!)

That might be the cutest picture ever. Thank you for making my morning :) My golden retriever would need a much larger bun...possibly something akin to the Weenie Mobile bun? And even then, she'd just be a really hairy dog in a plastic bun :)
